  I took my 9 yr old Golden in to Dr. Liro Friday afternoon for follow up after a Thursday late night Emergency Vet Hospital visit. She is the best! She is like the Vet Dog Whisperer but she only works on Fridays as she is retired. She sees the animals because she loves to help them.
  Dr Suero on the other hand is not a very nice person to speak with. He called me on Saturday about my dog. He was highly confrontational and is saying that my dog who has crystallic urine has an issue walking because he needed knee surgery 3 years ago and didn't get it? He got better after the Emergency Vet Hospital put him on antibiotics but Dr. Suero says my dog doesn't have any infection. Then he wanted $50 more money for thyroid testing to fix the crystallized urine, without seeing my dog again just give the gal up front your credit card number....6 months ago my dog had the same issue and the Animal Hospital at Vista Lakes fixed him right up with antibiotics. I shared this with Suero. He didn't care and says my dog needs the surgery to walk.
  I'm confused by his diangosis. I tried to get the knee reconstruction surgery done 3 years ago but the analgesia made my dog ill and they could not operate. He charged me almost as much money as quoted for the whole surgery procedure that I didn't have done. By the time the surgeon was available again my dog was walking fine on his re-attached ACL in his knee joint without surgery. But now this is the reason why he won't get up and walk or eat....I'm not buying it....Suero is not trying to treat the illness, he just wants to charge big bucks to perform a surgery. This is our welcome back to Tuscawilla. There seems to be better Vet care in Orlando. I was hoping for advice on feed him a prescription diet with less grains n starches, less magnesium? Check for Bladder stones? What do I know? I'm just a pet owner. But the crystalline urine issue isn't due to a knee joint degeneration. I know that! Now after 3 days on the anti antibiotics and my 9yr old Golden is back to long walks and is 100% without any knee surgeries or Thyroid needs. I am changing his diet to keep him off of the food sweet potatoes which is not good. He eats grain free natural food with chicken but I am going to use Hill Science Diet canned food without grains or starches for a week to see if his urination issue gets better.
